El \u00faltimo gesto de amor de Christo por una ciudad en la que se refugi\u00f3 en 1958, huyendo de la Bulgaria comunista.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00bfHa o\u00eddo hablar ya de Christo? Tal vez no. Pero ahora, gracias al Arco del Triunfo, \u00a1s\u00ed! Christo era en realidad un artista b\u00falgaro que escap\u00f3 de Bulgaria en los a\u00f1os cincuenta. Primero se traslad\u00f3 a Par\u00eds y despu\u00e9s a Nueva York, donde conoci\u00f3 a su esposa Jeanne-Claude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ambos son muy conocidos como pareja de artistas contempor\u00e1neos y especialmente por algunas obras. Su arte consiste principalmente en el \u201cembalaje\u201d de lugares, edificios, monumentos, parques y paisajes. Por ejemplo, \u201cempaquetaron\u201d el Reichstag de Alemania en 1995 o el Pont Neuf de Par\u00eds en 1985.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-src=\"blob:https:\/\/madamebulgaria.com\/dce52359-9d9f-4224-9098-c11c0491a384\" alt=\"Arco del Triunfo en Par\u00eds por Christo \" width=\"1000\" class=\"lazyload\" height=\"700\"\/><figcaption>Christo en su estudio de Nueva York, con un dibujo preparatorio para \u201cThe Arc de Triomphe empaquet\u00e9\u201d, 20 de septiembre de 2019. (\u00a9 Wolfgang Volz \/ 2019 Fondation Christo et Jeanne-Claude.)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aparte del hecho de que son famosos en Occidente y de que Christo es b\u00falgaro, la raz\u00f3n principal por la que hemos decidido escribir hoy sobre Christo es porque desde ayer (18 de septiembre de 2021) hasta el 3 de octubre el Arco del Triunfo de Par\u00eds estar\u00e1 \u201cabarrotado\u201d. Esta es una de sus obras (p\u00f3stuma).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El equipo de Christo y Jeanne-Claude realiz\u00f3 L'Arc de Triomphe envuelto, Par\u00eds (1961-2021), seg\u00fan el deseo de Christo, que quer\u00eda que el proyecto continuara despu\u00e9s de su muerte, el 31 de mayo de 2020. Para ello se necesitaron 25.000 metros cuadrados de tejido de polipropileno reciclable de color plata azulado y 3.000 metros de cord\u00f3n rojo del mismo material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un proyecto autofinanciado - Como todos los proyectos art\u00edsticos de Christo y Jeanne-Claude, L'Arc de Triomphe envuelto, Par\u00eds (1961-2021) se autofinanciar\u00e1 \u00edntegramente gracias a la venta de obras originales de Christo: collages, dibujos de este proyecto y de otros, as\u00ed como maquetas, obras de los a\u00f1os cincuenta y sesenta y litograf\u00edas. No se beneficiar\u00e1 de ninguna otra financiaci\u00f3n p\u00fablica o privada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"flex-video widescreen youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"L&#039;Arc de Triomphe, Envuelto, Par\u00eds, 1961-2021. La pel\u00edcula del proyecto de Christo &amp; Jeanne-Claude\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Baa6zXVAjms?start=2&#038;feature=oembed&#038;showinfo=0&#038;rel=0&#038;modestbranding=1&#038;iv_load_policy=3&#038;playsinline=1&#038;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Otra obra que so\u00f1aron realizar durante m\u00e1s de 40 a\u00f1os y que, tal vez, su sobrino, Vladimir, podr\u00eda realizar por ellos es la Mastaba de Abu Dahbi de la que puedes ver una foto m\u00e1s abajo. Se tratar\u00eda de una estructura de 150 metros de altura formada por miles de barriles de petr\u00f3leo en medio del desierto. Se trata de un proyecto que inici\u00f3 en 1977 pero que a\u00fan no ha podido hacerse realidad. Adem\u00e1s, por primera vez, la obra ser\u00eda permanente.
