Un dernier geste d'amour de Christo pour une ville o\u00f9 il s'est r\u00e9fugi\u00e9 en 1958, fuyant la Bulgarie communiste.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Avez-vous d\u00e9j\u00e0 entendu parler de Christo ? Peut-\u00eatre pas. Mais aujourd'hui, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l'Arc de Triomphe, oui ! Christo est en fait un artiste bulgare qui a fui la Bulgarie dans les ann\u00e9es 1950. Il s'est d'abord install\u00e9 \u00e0 Paris, puis \u00e0 New York apr\u00e8s avoir rencontr\u00e9 sa femme Jeanne-Claude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tous deux sont bien connus en tant que couple d'artistes contemporains et surtout pour certaines de leurs \u0153uvres. Leur art consiste principalement \u00e0 \u201cemballer\u201d des lieux, des b\u00e2timents, des monuments, des parcs et des paysages. (\u00a9 Wolfgang Volz \/ 2019 Fondation Christo et Jeanne-Claude.)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outre le fait qu'ils sont c\u00e9l\u00e8bres en Occident et que Christo est bulgare, la principale raison pour laquelle nous avons d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d'\u00e9crire sur Christo aujourd'hui est qu'\u00e0 partir d'hier (18 septembre 2021) et jusqu'au 3 octobre, l'Arc de Triomphe \u00e0 Paris sera \u201cemball\u00e9\u201d. Il s'agit d'une de leurs \u0153uvres (\u00e0 titre posthume).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L'\u00e9quipe de Christo et Jeanne-Claude a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 L'Arc de Triomphe envelopp\u00e9, Paris (1961-2021), selon la volont\u00e9 de Christo qui souhaitait que le projet se poursuive apr\u00e8s sa mort le 31 mai 2020. Cela a n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 25 000 m\u00e8tres carr\u00e9s de tissu recyclable en polypropyl\u00e8ne argent\u00e9 bleut\u00e9 et 3 000 m\u00e8tres de cordon rouge du m\u00eame mat\u00e9riau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un projet autofinanc\u00e9 - Comme tous les projets artistiques de Christo et Jeanne-Claude, L'Arc de Triomphe envelopp\u00e9, Paris (1961-2021) sera enti\u00e8rement autofinanc\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la vente d'\u0153uvres originales de Christo : collages, dessins de ce projet et d'autres ainsi que des maquettes, des \u0153uvres des ann\u00e9es 50 et 60 et des lithographies. Elle ne b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiera d'aucun autre financement public ou priv\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"flex-video widescreen youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"L&#039;Arc de Triomphe, envelopp\u00e9, Paris, 1961-2021. Il s'agirait d'une structure de 150 m\u00e8tres de haut compos\u00e9e de milliers de barils de p\u00e9trole au milieu du d\u00e9sert. Il s'agit d'un projet qu'il a initi\u00e9 en 1977 mais qui n'a toujours pas pu voir le jour. De plus, pour la premi\u00e8re fois, l'\u0153uvre serait permanente.
