2. Midpoint : Dutch friendly snack
With a note of 5/5 on Trip Advisor including some clients commentary as « longer is better »…, we had to be interested in this place. The owner of the Midpoint is a kind Dutch man offering a home made food, the famous Dutch snacks accompanied with a nice glass of Dutch beer. Both international tourists and locals create a very friendly atmosphere for the best street food moment / Facebook / Address.
3. O’Skara : The organic meats grill house
O’Skara is located in the centre of Vitoshka Street. Serbian specialties and a variety of grilled dishes prepared with organic meat (beef, chicken and pork) are available. Everything is prepared with fresh products and original spices. The seating area is just a long bench in the street with 6 or so high chairs, but more than adequate / Facebook / Address.
4. Top Chef : The doner kebab to die for
One of our favorite food street spot in Sofia, Top Chef place is definitely one of the best for its very fresh and tasty doners kebab and barbecue by the Turkish chef. This spot is only frequented by a local Turkish population. The atmosphere is very nice and relaxed. Next door you can order your home-made sweet or savory crepe for dessert / Address.
5. Daro : A spicy omelette sandwich please !
For Darin, also known as Daro, cooking is a true vocation and passion. Everything is done on the spot, all with his look and idea. Salty or sweet, everything is homemade and rather tasty. Here you will find something like the smoked fish bagel or the spicy omelette sandwich… Still a good address to enjoy a unique food street meal (or inside). Then, Daro is also an excellent breakfast spot / Web / Facebook / Address
6. Wok To Walk : Asian street food in Sofia
Located on Vitosha Street, the place is specialized in Asian cuisine and creates delicious dishes with fresh ingredients and an unforgettable aroma. Also located on Vitosha Street, the place offers a nice selection of home made burgers and dishes. Many thanks to both of you 😉 it is always a pleasure to get feedbacks about Madame Bulgaria. We love our project because we love Bulgaria. We will continue to share a max on it ;-). Bulgarians in Sofia speak generally English. So, the language will not be a problem. Sofia is a very nice city for young people like you. You can find places with free wifi, bars with accessible drinks, etc. If you want to visit Sofia within a group without to pay (or just give what you want), Free Sofia Tour is the best. Find all the information on his website or FB page and check the places where to join. If you want to enjoy a good burger, in a contemporary place, Boom! located near Vitosha Boulevard will be the best place. If you want to taste Bulgarian typical dishes, find the best on this article : https://madamebulgaria.com/bulgarian-traditional-cuisine-places-sofia/
If you want to have a drink in a cosy and young atmosphere, A:part:mental – The apartment in Sofia is a place to enjoy. The rooftop of the sense hotel is amazing even if you will pay 8 levas a beer but the view is one of the most impressives on the city. Around, do not hesitate to find a bus to join to Rila, and visit Rila Monastery and the 7 lakes. Just unique.. If you have time, make a break in Plovdiv, European capital of Culture 2019.. If you have special questions, please let us know. Have a good trip. PS/ If you arrive in Sofia during the day, and you stay in the center, the metro will be the best way to joint the city. If you want to take the taxi, please take care. Take only the O.K taxi Supertrans (with the red point between O and K). Ask the prices before jumping in the taxi..Have a nice trip 😉
