My second week of Bulgarian with the Suggestopedia Method

Suggestopedia Sofia

We started to learn Bulgarian with the suggestopedia method at the GoBeyond Suggestopedia Center in Sofia. What’s more about our second week.

I don’t know if my brain already started to « calibrate » but I found this week more easy than the first one. I felt it was less intensive while we had the same quantity of materials to assimilate. We added a choreography to the song of Tony Dimitrova « За тебе хората говорят ». So, to sing in Bulgarian is not very easy for me because the words go fast and I only get acquainted with Cyrillic alphabet. But, day after day, it becomes easier. Believe it or not but I felt that adding movements to the words and the music helped me a lot to remember the words easier. As you can see on this short video, we had again a lot of fun singing :-). We sing at every lesson, at the beginning of the course and at the end. Sorry for the light but we have the class in the evening and it’s a bit dark. We are normally 4 students with the teacher Violeta, but some of them are little bit shy and preferred to hide.

The song :  една българска роза от мен (I prefer to tell you that I have no gift of singer, I hope your compassion will encourage you to watch my video until the end, thank you ;-)).

As I wrote in my first article the method is really designed to help the brain to assimilate faster and without fatigue. Alexandre, my husband, who takes 3 hours of Bulgarian conversation every two weeks with a private professor told me that yesterday, he felt he was able to find his words faster than before so the method is definitely helping in creating new connections within the brain and improve the speed of thinking.

This new and third week, I’ll try to film while we are playing a role game !
