Bansko

First of all, one of the most famous Bulgarian ski resorts is Bansko. Bansko is a small  town at the foot of the Pirin Mountains. However since the beginning of the century it has evolved as one of the most popular ski resorts in the country. The reason: Bansko serves a gateway to 18 different ski and snowboard slopes of varying difficulty and length, including the popular Tomba run. Similarly, but a little different, Borovets is a splending Bulgarian ski resort located among the pine forests of Rila mountain. It is the second most visited one and the first winter resort established on Bulgarian territory. Borovets became popular in the end of the 19th century after the Bulgarian prince Ferdinand had his winter residence built there in 1898. Nowadays Borovets is still a destination number one for winter tourism. Pamporovo

Also, Pamporovo is another popular Bulgarian ski resort located in in the heart of the Rhodopi mountains – the Smolyan Province. Along with the difficult ski pistes the resort offers to the tourists numerous rounded slopes which makes it excellent for skiers and snowboarders who are new to these sports. Besides, Pamporovo is the sunniest Bulgarian mountain resort, it is estimated that there are around 120 sunny days in winter.

Dobrinishte

Then, Dobrinishte is also one of Bulgaria’s top ski resorts.
